(Dear customer, all of our Scapulars can be customized  to your needs as far as strap color or strap length, or if different embroidered panel combinations are desired; just contact us!)

Our Lady of Mount Carmel brown Scapular that features soft 100% woven wool (not wool felt); very well made and durable, machine re-enforced at stress points.  Cord straps are used for longevity and complement the designs.

Embroidered design depicts monograms from an antique Scapular design, with the IHS Jesus symbol and the symbol "M" Mary.

Colors are elegant periwinkle embroidery and complementary cream cord straps.

Panels are about 1.25 inches by 1.75 with 18-inch straps.  Embroidery is machine made, Scapular is hand assembled, hand embroidered blanket stitch around the edges.

(A note on strap lengths:  Quoted strap lengths - 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24 - are the length of one strap.  So, if you measure from the back of the neck to where you want the front panel to rest, this would be your strap length.  For instance, the shortest length of 14 inches, is more similar to a necklace, whereas 20–24-inch straps are more suitable for taller frames or for those who prefer to knot the cords, so the panels lie over heart areas back and chest.  Knotting will reduce strap length about 2 inches).

Care instructions:  It is recommended (and perfectly acceptable) to remove your Scapular for bathing, since constant water and soaps can break down the wool over time.  (If you desire to wear your Scapular for bathing or swimming, we advise temporarily replacing your Scapular for one designated for those activities - we sell a "simple, plain" wool Scapular that works well for this.)  If you want to wash your Scapular, hand wash in warm water with a mild vegetable-based soap and lay flat to dry.
